I have enough questions that I wanted to break off this character to his own thread.
The Mountain and John Snow were both brought back from the dead, why is The Mountain a zombie and John Snow isn't?
Does he need to eat? Does he sleep?
Does anyone think it's Joffrey's head sewn onto The Mountain's body?

2nd - 7'1" - 44 years old - too skinny
former professional basketball player

Current - 6'9" - 27 years old

The Mountain never died. He was poisoned and it almost killed him. Qyburn is known for his extreme/unethical medical practices and experiments on humans, which is why he was kicked out of the citadel and didn't become a maester. He did something to keep Gregor Clegane from succumbing to the poison but it obviously took a big toll on him.

Also, John was raised from the deal via magic/witchcraft instead of shady medical practices.
Just goes to show, magic is better than science.

Ah... I thought he was full on dead when it showed him under the sheet and then it was him coming back to life.
You think there is no way Joffrey's head is on his body then? Also, does he need to eat and poop since he is alive?
The Mountain/Ser Robert Strong
I don't think Joffrey's head would be on his body. I would imagine he eats and poops, but who knows. We don't see other characters eat and poop very often either. Maybe Westeros is a magical place where no one poops and eating is just for fun!

Where did you even get this idea?
Re: The Mountain/Ser Robert Strong
I've heard it on a podcast and have seen some articles about it

Is the theory that he would have Joffrey's mind then?

Right, I hope they do more with him this season. I'm sick of him just standing there looking big!
