The Train to Busan

Postby cwilkins88 » Wed Jan 25, 2017 8:58 am

This is a South Korean movie that Tyler talked to me about, so I watched it last night.

The plot is pretty easy. Dad works too much, kid wants to go see mom. Kid 'cats and the cradle' guilt trips his dad, so they go. BUT ZOMBIE OUTBREAK HAPPENS!!!

It reminds me a lot of snowpiercer. Instead of a class struggle, its a battle through the train to not get eaten by zombies. The dialogue is funny, and even through translation in subtitles is pretty funny, and I laughed quite a few times.

I'm only about halfway through, but I rented it on Amazon, so have some time to finish. Will update after I watch the rest tonight.

That's how it was explained on the podcast I listened to.

This movie is cray. It is intense and never lets up at all. The movie has a logical conclusion, and then BOOM, 40 more minutes of running from zombies.

The child actor is actually pretty good in this too.

Cool! But probably too spooky/intense for me. I still need to see this movie! Is Wilkins the only one to watch it here?
