My home town theatre is looking into taking movie pass. My question is how are they making money by only charging $9.95?

The app won't show theaters until you activate the card. The app is only showing theaters that support e-tickets though Movie pass, which are basically none. Once you get the card it should all work

I got my card in the mail yesterday. It doesn't come with any instructions to activate it. The app still doesn't show theaters in my area.

This seems very poorly executed by MoviePass.

I used mine yesterday! Slight annoyance is needing to use 2 cards at the box office now.
Had to buy 1 ticket for myself with the app and then had to use our normal CC to buy Jocelyn's ticket and popcorn.
Service worked flawless though. As I was walking in the door I checked into the theater/movie time and the app said I had 30 minutes to buy a ticket.

That is a pretty lofty expectation.

I wouldn't ever do this, because it's wrong. But i heard someone drive by the movie theater on there way to a friend's house and checked into a movie. He then gave his Movie pass card to said friend who used it to buy a ticket for a different time. No one went to jail.
