Don't have a rider myself. Got a Toro Personal Pace off Craigslist last year right after we moved into our house. Works well for the .22 acre lot we have.

Leaning towards Husqvarna zero turn mower. But there Kawasaki , Briggs and Stratton and Kohler for motor. Got to do some more research on motor and stuff.

Do you even have trees to mow around? Could save a lot by not doing zero turn.
Re: Lawn mowers
New question, why do you need a rider? Your lot is .23 acres. My lot is .21 with hills and I push mow. Granted my house has a bigger foot print, but you could push mow yours in an hour.

You in no way need zero turn. I have a lower end john deer for a lot 4 times your size and even that is Overkill. Just get a used rider of a decent model and it will be plenty.

Yeah need a rider , I have a rider and not going to down grade to a push mower. And looking at new with bagger. Plus I mow my neighbors yard which is just as big as mine.

I have a zero turn right now which is so handed and I don’t like the steering wheel lawn mowers
Re: Lawn mowers
Will your neighbors be helping pay for the cost of this mower since you're doing their yard?
It seems clear you're dead set on a rider and I can't talk you out of that, but it's silly to think you need a zero turn just because that's what you had before. You can get a zero turn for $500 again, sure do it, but your yard is ideal for a standard rider. Your yard is narrow, deep, and minimal things to mow around.

A new zero turn is crazy expensive. I would just look into repairing yours if it kciks the bucket?
Edit: Actually they aren't as expensive as i was imagining. they are around $3k.
