I've seen different numbers from different articles about the kids. I've also read that the coach was rescued. It's all hard to follow.

Interesting. I haven't seen anything about the coach being rescued. Most recent article (from 19 minutes ago) said total number rescued is 8 so far.

Elon Musk's rescue sub is on its way to Thailand. Not sure how useful it will be in this specific situation, but that was a quick turn around time.

Everyone is out

The 12th member of the team was brought out of the cave complex on a stretcher only about eight hours after officials announced Tuesday's 3rd phase of the rescue operation. The 25-year-old assistant coach was the last out.

The conditions of the boys pulled out of the cave on Tuesday, and their coach, remain unclear, but officials have said the eight previously rescued are in relatively good health and at a hospital in Chiang Rai.

Only a doctor and three Thai navy SEALS who helped with the rescue effort will still need to get out safely before the operation is wrapped up.

Wow. This is amazing. Blows my mind a week ago they had plans of prolonging this 3+ months so the kids could just crawl/walk out. I am sure everyone is grateful they did this strategy, even though it caused more short-term stress on the boys.

Glad they all got out. I can't imagine being trapped for that long in such a crappy place. It must have felt like an eternity. Hopefully they all fully recover.

Something I saw recently:
When they make the movie about this there is a 100% chance Peter Berg directs it. Wahlberg will play the cave.

That's disappointing. I want to like Musk because of all the innovation he is bringing the world, but there is no defending this. What a frickin' tool.

Elon Musk is a bit of an asshole. Reddit user showed a bunch of times he was a tool. https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/8z2nl1/elon_musk_calls_british_diver_who_helped_rescue/e2fo3l6/?context=3&sort=top

The rescued kids were finally told about the guy who died in the rescue effort this past weekend. That had to be rough on them.
