Fox shocked everyone when they announced a PG-13 Deadpool movie for this December, replacing Alita: Battle Angel on the 21st. There’s been a lot of speculation about exactly what The Deadpool Before Christmas will actually be, but now there’s some solid information.
The movie is coming out internationally as well, and Fox has released some information to theater owners to explain what to expect.
They describe it as an “adapted version” for those who were unable to get into the previous movie due to age restrictions. This means it is an edited version of Deadpool 2, and not a brand new movie. However, this “adapted version” will feature fifteen minutes of new footage as well as a new character.
That new character is possibly Fred Savage, reprising his role from The Princess Bride
The fifteen minutes of new footage would likely be those Fred Savage scenes, as well as new and alternate takes of existing stuff to replace some of the R-rated content that would need to be removed from the movie to reach a PG-13 rating.

The Deadpool Before Christmas
Has this ever been done before? A PG-13 version of an R rated movie released in theaters 6 months later?
They are adding 15 minutes, but how much had to be cut out to make it PG-13?

Once Upon a Deadpool
This is all so weird. Will it make like 1/3rd of the money that DP2 made? Is 15 minutes of new content enough to get DP2 fans to rewatch it?
