Broad City

Postby Tyler » Sun Sep 07, 2014 5:20 pm

I guess I didn't make a thread about this. Jocelyn and I finished the first season a few days ago. It's on Comedy Central and the easiest way to describe it is Workaholics but with 2 girls. I didn't think it was quite as funny, but it's pretty hilarious.

Has an 8.4 on IMDB and Workaholics has a 8.3

I watched a couple episodes when it first came out and I couldn't get into it.

Seth Rogan made an appearance in the first episode this season. Playing kind of a boyfriend role so maybe he will be in more. He was shirtless and very very sweaty.

This week's episode had a dog wedding and some other funny stuff. You don't need Tinder, you just need to scream "Wannna fook?!" to people in the park.

I still think Workahlics is funnier, Jocelyn might disagree. Workaholics nails it almost every episode, Broad City will have have a couple that fall a little flat for me.

Ilana is one of the funniest characters on any TV show we watch, I think. She is what Adam is to Workaholics.

I knew we wouldn't see Abbi's roommate, but we kinda saw her blurry hand waving! Once again Lincoln had some of the best lines.

Didn't realize the trainer actor was also a writer.

Speaking of hecklers, Dave Chapelle apparently is suing someone that heckled him and then threw a banana at him.
